A tutta resina
A two-room apartment transformed into a jewel, with resin as the undisputed protagonist.
The existing layout featured an outdated division of space, a circumstance that wasted several square meters.
For this reason, the spaces were redesigned and reorganized, with corridors stripped to a bare minimum.
The complete renovation of the two-room apartment, organized in collaboration with ArtéNwork, resulted in a more functional project.
Open space living area-kitchen
The living room and kitchen (Gentili) should be considered as a single space, with the kitchen tucked away to the right, nestled between plasterboard partitions and embrasures.
The Rimadesio portal plays a key role, concealing the entrance to the sleeping area behind it.
An interesting feature is the sloping wall between the living room and bedroom, creating a sense of rhythm.
This solution also allowed for the construction of a TV wall unit, avoiding the traditional living room furniture.
The heart of the living room is dominated by the sofa (Artnova), crafted with soft, enveloping curved effects. This movement echoes the TV backdrop and the circular table (handcrafted).
However, as the title suggests, the concept’s defining feature is resin.
The house, in fact, features sand-colored solutions and decorations sculpted by the materiality of Kerakoll resin.
The floor was also created in resin cement, again in very light tones, in a color palette that incorporates butter and ivory tones. This expedient creates contrasts of light and shadow.
The walls were also resin-coated with a lime effect, light yet material, to enhance the desire to create a large box with soft, elegant, and refined lines.
Both the fifth TV and the wall behind the sofa were treated with Elekta’s natural hemp effect, using a gray-green color contrast (in contrast with the dominant butter-ivory tones), which is also echoed in some of the accessories throughout the home.
In short, a work that expresses the finest craftsmanship.
And the lighting? Another key aspect of the project, thanks primarily to the use of LEDs.
Thanks to the available cuts, the spaces are sculpted with precision. The living area, in fact, is enhanced both by the recesses and along the perimeter, using enveloping dimmable lights that also enhance the soft movement of the walls.
The color schemes are marked by butter-ivory and gray-green, choices that alternate, dancing from room to room, finally coming together in the bathroom and anteroom.
Sleeping area
The bedroom features a handcrafted storage bed, a plasterboard headboard engraved with LED strips, and, most importantly, an elegant bronze-effect Cattelan writing desk with a titanium-embossed painted steel base and ceramic top, as well as Davide Groppi’s stunning moon lamp.
Bath
The space is warmed by light oak veneered slatted furniture, a touch that lends delicacy and brightness to the space, creating a perfect spa-like effect. Wall units are by Arbi.
The space is extremely bright, thanks in particular to the butter-ivory tones used for the walls, which bathe the space in light.
The standard-compliant anteroom, two arches, a large shower, and a functional walk-in closet complete the elegant space.
