Affacciati sulla “Milano che si muove compatta”
Just two lines “stolen” from Baudelaire, then inserted by Gadda in “L’Adalgisa”, were enough to tell the frenetic soul of the “Milan that moves compactly”, always dynamic, and oriented towards modernity: “La forme d’une ville change plus vite, hélas! Que le coeur d’un mortel” (“The shape of a city changes faster, alas! than the heart of a mortal”).
It seems so, observing the breathtaking skyline of the city, aided by the hypnotic view offered by a building, constructed in steel and glass, located right in the center of a vast area of Milan recently redeveloped.
Sposari Home followed the interior design project of this apartment (with significant square footage) in every step: development of lighting and plumbing design, division of internal walls, choice of coverings in the living area, kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms, as well as the supply of furniture in collaboration with Spazio Schiatti.
Interpreting the client’s “minimalist” taste, oriented towards a light and essential style, we enhanced our concept by working exclusively with high-end brands, brands capable of leaving a distinctive mark, focused on elegance and sophistication.
Living area-Kitchen
The kitchen, for example, no longer considered just a space related to food and conviviality, has been conceived in an innovative and flexible way, using a peninsula that has been transformed into a symbolic point of exchange “linked” to the living area.
Following this connection scheme between different spaces, the essentiality of the “Twelve” kitchen by Poliform, embellished with a Dekton countertop (a resistant, technical, and highly practical cutting-edge material), harmonizes perfectly with the sophistication of the “Manta” table by Rimadesio, one of the defining elements of the living space.
The living area (highlighted by the Bang & Olufsen TV) is not dispersing, despite the absence of walls, because it is accompanied – in the creative path imposed by the project – by the “Mondrian” structure by Poliform, Rimadesio shelves, and the Abacus Living system by Rimadesio (which stands out thanks to the lacquered glass in a talc color).
Speaking of Mondrian, the doors have been used to frame the spaces of the apartment, just like paintings.
In this continuous dialogue between spaces, cement resin backgrounds are also inserted, adorning the walls and making them sculptural.
The play of lights (spotlights and colorful LED bars), mirrors, and drops allows to liven up the environment, amplifying the feeling of nobility that envelops the entire house.
Moreover, the lights continue outside and illuminate a large terrace that surrounds the apartment.
To dominate this space, there are some technical vases capable of accommodating eucalyptus plants.
To furnish the exteriors, always in support of the elegant line requested by the project, the choice fell on Atmosphera, a leading company in the sector.
Sleeping area
Finally, very particular is the study of the suite (sleeping area).
The environment stands out for the presence of Elitis wallpaper, a product conceived as the weave of a fabric that, evoking a warm mesh, enhances the sense of intimacy.
The bed (Poliform) accompanies the ritual of rest between tradition and innovation, while, like fascinating mannequins, the Velaria sliding doors by Rimadesio, the Cover hinged door system (also by Rimadesio), and the accessories signed by Poliform parade in the bedroom.
Thanks to the role played by the Velaria portal, it was possible to bet on the perspective effect created by the transparent glass, unable to completely conceal the view of the bathroom.
In this case too, the philosophy of the entire project was respected with environments capable of dialoguing with each other through the common denominator of maximum hospitality.
Bath
The most private area of the house, instead, is characterized by a freestanding bathtub, sanitary ware hidden by a half-wall, an open shower, and the very elegant design of the compositions by Edoné.
