Luminosità e genius loci

Christian Norberg-Schulz identifies “the genius loci” as the spirit of a place.

In fact, the architect’s task is precisely to create meaningful and special places.

With one addition: aimed solely at the client’s complete satisfaction.

Starting from this premise, the Sposari Home design studio set out to completely revolutionize this apartment (of considerable size) through a comprehensive renovation of the spaces.

This renovation, of course, included all the plumbing and heating systems, with particular attention to the lighting design.

Living area

The main goal of the renovation? To give great prominence to the living area, accentuating this feeling thanks to the support of the glass door that separates, but only ideally, the fully equipped open kitchen.

The living room is elegant, comfortable, with nude tones and enhanced by a wood paneling wall interspersed with travertine and mirror effects that amplify the perspective.

The choice of soft, powdery colors that permeate the space contributes particularly to enhancing the space.

Kitchen

As mentioned, glass is a dominant material throughout the project.

The verticality of the space dictated the placement of the columns to the right of the entrance, while the base and wall units are located in the center.

The snack bar, overlooking the garden, offers the opportunity to enjoy quick meals in the tranquility of the greenery.

A distinctive feature of the kitchen is the HPL countertop with a travertine effect, a reference already present in the living room but which we will encounter again…

Sleeping area and master bathroom

Crossing the threshold of the sleeping space, we encounter the private bathroom.

The distinctive features include both an external sink and a ribbed glass wall concealing the fixtures and a comfortable, yet elegant, walk-in shower.

Beyond the bathroom, we encounter a spacious walk-in closet, a symbol of design and renewed order, as well as a coveted storage solution for clothes, shoes, and accessories.

The king-size padded bed with storage is accompanied by a bedside table and a vanity.

The discreet and refined Panzeri pendant lamps sculpt the wood paneling with circles of light.

Glamora wallpaper, with a rigorously bucolic theme, adorns the main wall, in keeping with the design concept.

Service bathroom

Finally, the guest bathroom continues the travertine theme, both on the floor and on the three shower walls.

The colors? Naturally, always powdery, soft, and soothing, for a new dimension of home living, dedicated, above all, to well-being.
