Un rifugio nel verde
Living area
The striking feature is the dramatic living room, designed to allow an incessant interplay with the private pool, an oasis dedicated to relaxation but also a suitable space to meet friends in leisure time. Here, to divide the spaces, imposing sliding glass doors frame the garden that embraces the apartment.
In the living room, the wall hosting the television is characterized by a custom-made boiserie (the work of Brianza artisans, just like the sofa), in thick-cut spessart oak veneer, created with the contribution of asymmetrical vertical slats.
Immediately to the left of the entrance, on the longest wall of the living room, runs a glass boiserie with beveled edges. Illuminated shelves accompanied by integrated LED lights follow the wall’s course, along with a lacquered suspended sideboard with 45° angled doors.
To disrupt the harmonious balance, in order to keep the integrity of memory alive (the owners’ historical heritage), a sideboard and a portal contribute. These are vintage elements capable of uniting past and modernity through an iconic “journey through time” that does not, however, cause traumatic breaks with the concept.
The flooring has been designed to host, throughout the entire surface of the house, stained oak planks, a solution that does not diminish, but rather enhances, the characteristic “movement” produced by this type of wood.
Kitchen
The large eat-in kitchen (Cesar “Maxima 2.2”) with Fenix laminate countertops is developed on the two longer sides. In the middle, the space hosts a small round table with matching chairs, both produced by Novamobili.
Sleeping area
To create a very welcoming atmosphere, the main sleeping area (equipped with a private bathroom with walls covered in cement resin, and embellished with a huge full-height mirror illuminated by side LEDs), has been designed with custom-made horizontal striped boiserie, crafted by artisans, with fabric side lampshades.
The need to create continuity between spaces while ensuring separate areas (due to a long and narrow hallway) required the insertion of a glass panel designed not as a closure, but as a kind of transparent separation between the bedroom and the walk-in closet.
Bath
The peculiarity of the secondary bathroom is the lowered ceiling, a solution aimed at making the room even more cozy and intimate. The space’s personality, a small exercise in elegance, is expressed in the choice to develop around a cove, used to accommodate a striking LED light bar. The wall cabinets, completing the furniture (in spessart oak), are signed by Arcom.
Children's room
However, to stimulate the imagination and soften the rigidity of the geometries, the children’s room proposes, on the walls, refined floral decorations with a strong scenic impact thanks to the use of Wall & Decò wallpaper. The idea is aimed at breaking the short circuit of the concept of a barrier with the outside by exploiting the nature references imprinted on the walls. On the other hand, flowers evoke the birth of fruit, so symbolically they represent beauty and hope for the future. The children’s room thus transforms into an iconographic homage to the legend of Zephyrus and Flora (or Chloris). Mythology, in fact, tells that once united in marriage, Zephyrus offered his beloved, as a token of love, the realm over cultivated fields and gardens, receiving flowers and honey in return.
