Una casa in “cammino”
Edgar Allan Poe said, “To travel is to dream: the difference is that not everyone, upon waking, remembers something, while each one keeps warm the memory of the places they have returned from.”
Perhaps unintentionally anchored to the previous quote, several objects, places, and photographs find a home in this house, a circumstance that facilitates constant references to travel.
A house, therefore, transformed, also thanks to Sposari Home, capable of enhancing the design process through the contamination of different styles, in a metaphorical memorial linked to the “journey.”
The apartment, newly built, required a project capable of improving the optimization of spaces, especially with the aim of maximizing the living area, which originally had an unnecessary separation between the kitchen and the living room.
To increase perspective and depth, taking a design risk, the kitchen, overlooking the living room, is supported on one side by the sleeping area and on the other by the study.
A linearity capable of expressing a more logical distribution of the spaces.
The common denominator of the apartment is the wood-effect stoneware laid on the floor, which runs along the entire surface, including the walk-in closet and the two bathrooms.
Living area-Kitchen
The undisputed protagonist of the living area is the kitchen, dominated by shades of gray, which gives a youthful and fresh feel to the open space.
The environment was designed with a column area with recessed doors to make the most of all the work surfaces. In the center of the kitchen, an island with an induction hob, work surface, and sink is proudly displayed, always respecting the maximum linearity of the volumes.
The column-island elements are connected by a large floating shelf characterized by a “minimal” lacquered iron leg, and a wood-effect laminate top (medium warm).
The island tops are made of non-absorbent functional material (thin black micro-shot pebble conglomerate), complemented by an extractor hood integrated directly into the ceiling.
The lowerings not only refine the volumetric movement but also engage and support a dish rack hidden behind double-sided doors (Xglass Finish by Lago).
The warm tones, with a spicy flavor, facilitate the travel theme even in the living area.

Regarding the living room, we intentionally did not choose a simple and predictable living room furniture piece, but instead opted for the creation of a monolithic-asymmetric bookcase element, in plasterboard, decorated with a cement resin that reflects the colors of earth and sand, with a matte, rough, very natural appearance, characterized by small storage niches.
To adorn the living room, two glass and bronze portals, with a lacquered dark frame, by Albed (Beat model), represent a bridge between East and West.
Soft and warm curtains, with a natural effect, intimate and enveloping, also frame the area.

The bathrooms maintain the house’s imprint: the warm and light resins of the walls, without coverings, extend the perspective despite the more limited dimensions of the spaces.
Wood takes center stage in the spacious walk-in closet, simultaneously essential and elegant.
